BACK TO THE OUTBACK
Selection of set design and packeting for the Netflix feature “Back to the Outback.”
STORYBOX PROJECT
Informed by the needs of a 360-degree VR camera, this haunted “reverse-theatre-in-the-round” features a center console for the viewer’s camera. Articulated by hydraulic pillars on a multi-tier turntable under the floor, the stage traps intruders with rickety movements (permutations below), forcing them to perform in exchange for their freedom. It can portray a range of moods with its lights and houses sets/props to aid in performance.
WORLD WAR TOONS
Background designs/paintings from the first in a series of 2D animations promoting World War Toons (a Looney-Toons-inspired WW2 Playstation VR shooter), followed by a selection of earlier backgrounds and style explorations.
CITY OF GHOSTS
Selection of backgrounds from Netflix’s Peabody-nominated series “City of Ghosts.” Responsibilities included heavily painting over original photography by Kwasi Boyd-Bouldin for a composite look that complimented the 2D/3D hybrid animation style.
